The Supreme Court is planning to set up family courts in the cities of Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, and Gwangju.

According to Supreme Court officials, additional courts will provide better support to children from broken families. There is currently only one family court in Seoul.

Officials are examining the specific details of the plan, and Korea's judicial advisory committee will confirm the final blueprint within the first half of 2010.
