Seoul has denied reports claiming a secret meeting between government officials from the two Koreas took place in Kaesong on the North Korean side of the border last week.
Unification Ministry spokesperson Chun Hae-sung told reporters Thursday morning that a Yonhap News report about a meeting between a senior Unification Ministry official and a North Korean official was false.
The report cited an informed government source as saying the two Koreas exchanged views on South Korean food aid, cross-border family reunions and resumption of package tours to the North's Mt. Kumgang.
