Artifacts presumed to be from the fifth century Baekje Kingdom have been discovered inside an ancient tomb.
Researchers at Wonkwang University in North Jeolla Province said they found a pair of gilt bronze shoes, a celadon porcelain thought to be from China, and some pottery buried in the region's Gochang-gun area.
The shoes, each with 18 spiked hobnails attached to the bottom, are considered the best preserved of their kind found in Korea.
