Seoul Subway Users Asked to Keep Right

Starting next month subway users will have to remember to keep to the right in Seoul’s Metro stations. The city's underground stations will become the first facilities where the Seoul Metropolitan Government will be kicking off a campaign urging people to switch from left to right. The directions of some 1,000 subway escalators will also be changed starting then.

The plan to have walkers keep to their right is part of the government's campaign to make it easier to get around. The government says the change shouldn't be difficult since most facilities in Seoul such as entrance doors are designed for right-handed people.
