A fashion show inspired by Korean cultural traditions such as porcelain, handicrafts, folk painting and sculpture will be held at the National Museum of Korea on Saturday.

The show is co-hosted by the museum and the Korea Fashion Association in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the opening of the first museum in Korea. Leading Korean designers will showcase works inspired by the country's cultural heritage.

Many notable celebrities will appear as models, including the National Museum's goodwill ambassador Choi Su-jong, and anybody wishing to watch the show is welcome free of charge. Choe Kwang-sik, director of the museum, said, "By incorporating Korean cultural items with fashion, the show will serve as a platform for the Korean fashion industry to be comparable to those of advanced countries."
