Park Ji-sung of the Manchester United has been named the "unsung hero" of the team. In team-by-team analysis ahead of the season opener of the English Premier League on Aug. 15, the Guardian newspaper wrote Monday, "Un-sung Park. Not so much for his indefatigability and technical prowess, but because without him Nani would play 20 games a season more than he does."

Park's contribution to the team, in other words, is being recognized as pivotal for tactical reasons.

Robin van Persie, a Dutch player for Arsenal, and Yossi Benayoun, the captain of the Israeli national team who plays for Liverpool, were among other unsung heroes according to the paper.
