A big change is in the works for the top management at conglomerate Kumho Asiana Group. Kumho Asiana Group chairman Park Sam-koo and chairman Park Chan-koo of the company's affiliate Kumho Petrochemical, who are the third and fourth sons of the late founder Park In-cheon, announced they are stepping down.
Vice chief Park Chan-bup of subsidiary Asiana Airlines, who has worked for Kumho for the past 40 years as a professional manager, is succeeding the brothers.
The moves come as chairman Park Sam-koo offered to resign after he and Chan-koo clashed over a stock ownership issue, prompting the board of directors to dismiss him.
