Japanese Navy Boats to Dock in Korea's East Sea Harbor

Two Japanese Navy vessels are to dock at Korea's East Sea Harbor on the coast of Gangwon Province for the first time ever. According to the Korean Navy, this will take place next Wednesday after the two sides hold joint search and rescue exercises for two days from Monday in areas between Korea's Dokdo islets and Japan's Oki Islands.

The joint drills are humanitarian missions that have been held since 1999 to enhance bilateral cooperation in maritime disasters.
