The squally, unpredictable weather this summer is bad news for anyone keen to keep up with latest fashion trends. Vogue and Glamour magazines in the United States and the United Kingdom suggest "Kate Moss style" as a fashion solution. Wellingtons, normally something that you wear only when it rains, can be an everyday fashion item even on bright days, and thanks to Moss, it is in vogue even in Hollywood.
Say no to long trousers, and if you can't stop the urge, wear skinny jeans. Be sure to wear socks in the boots so your feet don't slide and smell. A long-sleeve shirt or a jacket is very useful in such weather, and you can look doubly stylish if you roll up the sleeves to the elbows. Creating a layered look with a long vest is also a good idea.
During the rainy season, shorts with a loose top and colorful rain boots are a practical match. "Dark colors in gloomy weather make you look even darker and gloomier, so it's better to choose a light-colored umbrella and boots," says stylist Hwang Jeong-hee.
The material is also important. "Avoid thin fabrics like chiffon in the rainy season because when it gets wet, it sticks to your body. Natural fabrics such as cotton and linen aren't so good either because they wrinkle easily," Hwang says.
