The Korea Meteorological Administration forecast Wednesday that Jeju Island and southern parts of the country will experience the seasonal rain front from this Sunday, with the rainy season beginning in earnest nationwide from June 25.
The KMA said, "The rain front will stay around the sea near Jeju for some time, affecting southern seas of the country, however, not much rain is expected because its power is weak," adding, "The front will move north to influence the whole nation by the middle of next week."
Before the rainy season starts, central parts of Korea will have heavy rain between Friday and Saturday of this week due to the influence of a low pressure front, said the KMA.
