Grand National Party lawmaker Na Kyung-won became a fashion model for a day, the only politician among 20 notable women who modeled for the 200th edition of fashion magazine Elle in its June issue.

"It was very difficult because I had to pose, and I had to wear something I don't usually wear," she admits.

Politics, she says, is a cooperative process. "The way I see politics it's like standing on a railway track. You don't dare start on your own, but you can if you have someone to cooperate with."

Some of other women who participated in the feature, titled "Portraits of 2009 Power Women in Korea," are cellist Chung Myung-wha, Ballerina Kang Sue-jin, figure skater Kim Yu-na, and actresses Kim Hae-sook and Moon Geun-young.
