The number of North Korean defectors who have entered the United States as refugees since May 2006 has now reached 81, according to the Korean language Voice of America service, citing the State Department's latest refugee entry data.
The VOA report says in April four North Korean defectors set foot on U.S. soil after being granted refugee status. Three of them reportedly came from Thailand while the other entered via an unknown third country.
