Roh Moo-hyun's son Geon-ho was questioned Sunday in a snowballing bribery scandal that has already led to interrogation of the former first lady and threatens to engulf the ex-president. Prosecutors say they want to question Geon-ho again this week but have no plans to question his mother Kwon Yang-sook further.
Roh Moo-hyun is expected to summoned early this week.
Former chief presidential secretary Moon Jae-in, who was present during Kwon's questioning, said she told prosecutors she had received US$1 million that Taekwang Industry CEO Park Yeon-cha had given another ex-presidential secretary, Chung Sang-moon, in June 2007 as well as W300 million (US$1=W1,334) in cash handed over in August 2006.
Geon-ho reportedly told prosecutors he had nothing to do with $5 million that Park wired to his cousin, Yeon Chul-ho (36).

Hong Man-pyo, a senior prosecutor at the Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office, on Sunday told reporters the former first lady and Roh Geon-ho were questioned as witnesses in the investigation, suggesting that the total of $6 million Park paid are being regarded as bribes for the former president himself.
"Saying that my wife did it and I did not know may sound clumsy, but I decided that telling the truth is the best strategy," Roh said in a statement on his website. He added there were facts he did not know about and that evidence was what was most important.
"According to reports, Park made statements that are different from the facts I know," Roh wrote, adding he would clarify why he had no choice but to make such comments.
Roh vowed not to give up until he hears Park's comments under circumstances where he is no "at the mercy" of prosecutors and the incumbent administration, hinting that he suspects the investigation is politically motivated.
