An exhibition is displaying relics, pictures, and photographs related to the Sungnyemun in Seoul to mark the first anniversary of the destruction by fire of Korea's no. 1 national treasure.
It runs at the National Palace Museum of Korea from Tuesday to March 8 and is hosted by the Cultural Heritage Administration. Some 80 exhibits will be on display.
The site where the gate also known as Namdaemun or South Gate is being restored will briefly open to the public from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.
