The head of one of Korea's most powerful entertainment agencies is being questioned by police about his suspected role in spying on a client, the star actress Jeon Ji-hyun.
Seoul Metropolitan Police on Thursday said they are questioning Chung Hoon-tak (41), the president of Sidus HQ, over eavesdropping on Jeon's mobile phone.
Chung allegedly paid W6.4 million to a shady operator identified as Kim (42), now under arrest, to clone the SIM card Jeon used in 2007 so the agency could monitor her phone records and text messages. The number was registered to her father.
Sidus HQ declined to comment on the ongoing investigation.
