The Washington Post's weekend magazine Parade ranked North Korean leader Kim Jong-il as the world's worst dictator on Sunday.
Parade releases a list of the 10 worst dictators in the world every year. This year the magazine put Kim in the top spot, up one notch from last year. "Kim Jong-il runs the most isolated, repressive regime in the world.
His harsh system includes detainment of roughly 200,000 citizens in labor camps, and the capture, torture and imprisonment of those who try to flee to China," the magazine said.
Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir followed Kim to rank as the world's second worst dictator on Parade's list.
