Violinist Sarah Chang Inducted into Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame

    Violinist Sarah Chang has been inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame becoming the first Korean-born musician to receive such honors.

    Prior to performing in the opening ceremony of the Bowl's 2004 summer festival this Friday, Chang was listed in the Hall of Fame along with two other musicians, the late American composer Henry Mancini, and Brian Wilson, the co-founder of the popular rock group, the Beach Boys.

    The 23-year-old violinist also gave a solo violin performance, Sarasate's "Carmen Fantasy" receiving a standing ovation from the 18,000 people in the audience.
