The 5th Jeonju International Film Festival will begin on April 23 and run for 10 days.
During the festival a number of events will be held throughout the city in places such as Jeonbuk University, Samseong Cultural Hall and the "theatre street."
The Organizing committee of the festival said Wednesday that this year's film festival will screen 120 feature films and 130 short films from 30 different countries.
Director Min Byeong-guk's "Possible Changes" has been chosen as the opening film and "November" by Spanish Director Achero Manas will be the closing film at this year's festival.
Moreover, 20 Japanese experimental films and 16 Cuban films will be shown during the festival. The winner of Woosuk Award will receive a cash prize of $10 thousand, the winner of the Daring Digital Award will receive $5,000 and the JIFF Favorites Award winner will receive a gift.
