Magician Choi Hyun-woo, won three awards at the 2002 IBM Ring 85 (or Irish Ring) Convention, a competition on magic skills held in the Irish capital Dublin from May 3 to May 7.

Choi won prize for Close-up Magic and Comedy, and the convention's Grand Prix. The International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) world gala features 38 practitioners of magic from the United States, France, Germany and other countries.

Close-up is a card, or coin oriented competition on a table for a small audiences. With the victory, Choi was invited to the 2002 Siegfried and Roy extravaganza.
