A photograph of patriot Yun Bong-gil, who bombed Japanese generals and high-ranking government officials during their Emperor's birthday ceremony at a park in Shanghai China in April 29 1932 has been released by his memorial society, Woljinhoe Tuesday.
General Shiragawa, the commander of Japanese army in Shanghai died in the bombing and many others were injured.
Woljinhoe said the picture was taken right after Yun was arrested by Japanese military police at the park and was attached to its report to headquarters in Seoul. A picture of Yun after his arrest has never been released so far.
The report dated May 5 1932 said the 25-year-old suspect was born in Yesan, South Chungchung Province and was staying in the French sector of Shanghai.
