    December 26, 1999 19:12

KAL officials investigating the crash of cargo flight KE-8509 said that preliminary analysis of onboard recorders indicated that the plane's engines were operating at full throttle at the time of the crash and that there appeared to be an instrument problem. They said that the actual cause of the crash will only be determined when a second flight detector, believed to be in a pond is located.
