Han Kwang-ok Appointed Chief Presidential Secretary

      President Kim Dae-jung appointed Han Kwang-ok, a deputy president of the ruling National Congress for New Politics as his chief secretary to succeed Kim Joong-kwon who resigned Monday.

      Cheong Wa Dae spokesman Park Joon-young said Kim made the decision to continue political reform and to stabilize the troubled domestic political situation.

      He said the appointment of a chief political adviser vacated by the resignation of Kim Jung-gil would be made on Wednesday.
