It will be very cold on the day of the opening ceremony of the Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang.
The Korea Meteorological Administration said temperatures in Pyeongchang on Friday evening will be between -8 and -4 degrees Celsius, but strong winds will make it feel like -14 to -9. This is much colder than the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics on Feb. 9.
The KMA also forecast 10 to 20 cm of snow in Gangwon Province from early Thursday to Friday morning, and 30 cm in some mountainous parts.
"Even if we don't expect snow at the time of the opening ceremony, traffic will still be affected by snow from the previous day," said the KMA.
