Actor Park Bo-gum is enjoying soaring popularity with the recently-ended TV series, "Love in the Moonlight" and the huge success of the nostalgic TV series, "Reply 1988," on cable channel tvN early this year.
At a fan meet at Gyeongbok Palace last week, over 5,000 people gathered for a glimpse of him.
Park is well known for his politeness and disciplined lifestyle, possibly one of key factors he steals his fans' hearts.
"Some people might say my life seems to be very quiet and monotonous but I'm a kind of person who tries to lead a peaceful life, accepting things and thanking for what is given, instead of seeking too much fun or excitement," Park said.
How does he feel about his sudden rise to fame? "I feel humbled by the support of my fans who came out to see me at the signing event, and I'm sorry that I couldn't express my thanks to all of them in person because there were so many," he said. "But I think all I can do for my fans is to do my best as an actor and to try to make appearances with more projects."
