North Korea wants to compete in four disciplines at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang next month, the organizers here said on Thursday.

"During talks with North Korea on Wednesday, it agreed to send its athletes in pair skating, alpine skiing, cross-country skilling and women's ice hockey," said Lee Hee-bum, the chairman of the organizing committee for the Olympics, before leaving for Lausanne, Switzerland to attend a meeting with the International Olympic Committee.

A final decision will be made at the meeting on Saturday.
