Kim Ji-young (Merchandiser)

After graduating from the Clothing and Textiles Department of the Catholic University of Korea, Kim learned how to embroider and draw folk paintings (minhwa) at the traditional crafts hall, a subsidiary of the National Museum of Korea.
She now creates new designs for Hanbok that depict modern tastes at her mother's (Kang Ja-young) Hanbok company. Travelling around England, France and Italy, Kim came to focus on forming the Boudoir Cultural Beauty Center.Currently, Kim is working as a merchandiser at Kang Ja-young's company and gives lectures on women's living room crafts at the Hankoreh Cultural Center.
Kim was one of the artists invited to demonstrate her outstanding cultural craftwork at the 2000 Kyongju World Cultural Exposition and her works are still being exhibited. Kim also offers online lectures at her homepage www.pojagi.com

Kang Ja-young (Hanbok Designer)
Kang is the vice chairman of the Korea Clothing Association and she is a traditional Hanbok designer managing two branches of Kang Ja-young's Hanbok boutiques in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul and Namcheon 2 dong, Busan. Kang is a pioneer who first introduced the concept of Hanbok design in Busan by holding a fashion show only for Hanboks in 1982. She manages the Boudoir Cultural Beauty Center within her store with her daughter, Kim Ji-young.
